Job summary

USDA-FSIS is seeking incumbents for positions in the Office of Field Operations, Regulatory Operations, District Offices, to manage staffing and related functions ensuring proper coverage of meat, poultry, and egg product inspection assignments across multiple states.

Responsibilities include coordinating staffing reports, training calendars, and responding to inquiries from the field and customers, with emphasis on effective communication and organizational planning.

Qualifications

• GS-5 level requires 1 year of General Experience demonstrating problem analysis, data gathering and solution identification.
• GS-7 level requires 1 year of specialized experience including regulation interpretation, staffing reports, and basic advisory services.
• GS-9 level requires 1 year of specialized experience in staffing inquiries, personnel records management, and coordinating training.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staffing and related functions to ensure adequate coverage of inspection assignments.
• Support training development and calendar coordination.
• Respond to routine inquiries from field and customers on staffing and management issues.
