Job summary

The St. Louis Jewish Community Center is seeking a Camp Sabra Assistant Director of Staffing to recruit, train, and supervise seasonal staff and oversee international recruitment and related paperwork.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a related field required.
• 3–5 years camping experience preferred.
• Residence in St. Louis, Kansas City, Dallas, or Houston preferred.
• Willingness to travel year-round and reside at camp in summer.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification required; training provided.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with Salesforce and CampMinder preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise seasonal staff under the Senior Director.
• Oversee international staff recruitment and related paperwork.
• Create and maintain manuals with job descriptions, policies, and SOPs.
• Coordinate staff travel and engagement activities; manage budgets and schedules.
• Assist with opening/closing day procedures for staff and campers and seasonal camp logistics.
• Promote Jewish values and staff well-being while modeling ethical leadership.
