Essential Duties And Responsibilities
PROGRAM ADMINISTRATION
- Assign and direct the work of Specialized Direct Support Professionals (SDSPs) and provide administrative supervision.
- Monitor service quality and assist with program operations.
- Develop staff schedules and implement/oversee required staff training.
- Participate in the person‑centered planning process and contribute to meaningful, individualized goal development.
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- May participate in the DS Emergency On‑Call System.
- Work closely with DS clinical staff and Public Safety Specialists to facilitate communication and training.
- Ensure training compliance, including approved restraint procedures per the Human Rights Committee.
- Ensure timely completion of the monthly census and adherence to regulatory requirements and UCS policies.
- Fulfill monthly reporting requirements and ensure timely submission to DAIL.
HOUSING SOLUTIONS & CRISIS SUPPORT
- Collaborate with community members and service providers to address housing challenges.
- Assist with recruiting and hiring staff as needed.
- Work with landlords to secure appropriate housing for clients.
- Support clients in advocating for their needs and maintain communication with guardians.
- Provide positive interventions and strategic support during crises or housing‑related escalations.
- Develop creative solutions to ensure clients receive necessary resources and support.
NETWORKING, CONSULTATION & EDUCATION
- Serve on agency committees as assigned.
- Assist Service Coordinators in coordinating services and provide staff training as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all training requirements, including approved restraint procedures.
- Mediate staff concerns, offering guidance and support.
- Act as a client advocate and collaborate with community housing organizations to secure resources.
INFORMATION MANAGEMENT, RECORD KEEPING & FISCAL MONITORING
- Approve and document staff timesheets and complete administrative forms for accurate billing and management reporting.
- Monitor progress notes updates and complete supervision notes in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Prepare management reports as requested.
- Document staff performance concerns for follow‑up and accurate recordkeeping.
- In addition to the above, other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Education / Experience
Supervisory Responsibilities (1)
Manages subordinates. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Computer Skills (2)
Proficiency is required in a Windows Operating System to include competency in Microsoft Office programs Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Additionally, proficiency is required with day‑to‑day information entry and retrieval in the Agency’s electronic medical record system, employee electronic expense tracking system, and electronic payroll self‑entry system.
Language Skills (3)
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Mathematical Skills (4)
Ability to perform basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and/or division.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE (5)
- Bachelor’s degree or five years’ experience in similar role.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is strongly preferred.
