Role Description

We are searching for a Staff Water Engineer to support and grow our Water team in East Windsor, NJ. This candidate will use their expertise and technical knowledge to deliver design work for water/wastewater clients in New York and across North America.

Role Accountabilities

• Evaluate, plan, design and support management of projects for water/wastewater treatment and conveyance (pipelines, treatment, and pumping facilities).
• Exercise judgment on details of work and make preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
• Complete technical reports with guidance from more senior team members.
• Conduct occasional fieldwork activities such as site visits, construction inspection, sampling, water quality analyses, asset inventory, flow monitoring set-up and monitoring, technology evaluations, plant operations information, process troubleshooting and optimization.
• Support professional engineering services during construction: construction observation, review of submittals and shop drawings, respond to RFIs and permit closeouts.
• Manage tasks as a project resource, completing allocated activities to meet budget, timeframe and quality objectives, meeting or exceeding client expectations.
• Carry out investigations and analyses to support the development of technical solutions and prepare documentation and reports ensuring accuracy and compliance with Arcadis requirements and relevant national standards and codes of practice.
• Collaborate with project managers/team leaders and clients to ensure effective communication on project matters.
• Provide technical guidance to other team members and collaborate with other design disciplines to ensure integrity of the overall design or solution.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an appropriate area of engineering.
• 4 years’ of experience in engineering and a PE license.

Salary

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $130,000. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
