Job summary

Renesas Electronics in Duluth, GA, seeks a senior technical lead for post-silicon validation across multiple product iterations, with hands-on DDR5 buffer bring-up and high-speed analog/mixed-signal characterization.

You will guide bench-level validation, drive debugging, develop test methodologies, and collaborate with design, system and product engineering teams to shorten cycles and deliver reliable, high-performance DDR5 interfaces.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years hands-on experience with high-speed analog and mixed-signal devices.
  • Strong understanding of signaling levels, termination, and signal integrity tradeoffs.
  • Experience using high-speed interface test equipment (BERT, Scope, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Python for test automation and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Characterize critical electrical and timing parameters for high-speed memory devices.
  • Collaborate with designers and cross-functional partners to debug and optimize performance using exploratory test approaches.

Job Description
ComponentBenchValidation andCharacterization
  • Support Design and Validation teams in the characterization of critical electrical and timing parameters forhigh‑speedmemory devices.
  • Collaborate closely with designers andcross‑functionalpartners to debug andoptimizeperformance using exploratory,open‑endedtest approaches that extend beyond strictspecification‑drivenmeasurements.
Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Synthesize experimental results and systematically definesubsequentvalidation and characterization experiments to fully isolate and understand complex issues.
  • Generate clear, consistent, andwell‑structuredreports tailored to a range of technical andnon‑technicalaudiences, ensuring actionable insights and alignment across teams.
  • Develop andvalidateinnovative applications of LLM/AI techniques to analyze large-scale validation datasets, generate effective visualizations, and reduce overall cycle time to final reporting.
Technical Communication
  • Effectively document test methodologies, procedures, and assumptions to ensure results are reproducible,accurate, and scalable across validation efforts.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts withan appropriate levelof detail tailored to each stakeholder, from deep technical audiences to broadercross‑functionalteams.
  • Collaborate effectively with Validation Engineers across diverse geographic regions, languages, and technical backgrounds, fostering alignment and knowledge sharing within global teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's/Master’sdegree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of hands‑on experienceinhigh-speed Analog and Mixed‑signalsignal devices.
  • Strong understanding ofsignaling levels, termination architectures, and signal integrity tradeoffs insystems.
  • Expertisein using typical high speed interface test equipment (BERT, Scope, Compliance S/W).
  • Proficiencyin scripting languages (e.g., Python) for test automation and analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communicationand interpersonal skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience withadvanced signal integrity measurements and applications for Design correlation.
  • Strongunderstanding of memory interface architecture, interface protocols,standardsand operation, preferably DDR5.
