Job summary

Pinterest is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager in the Advanced Technology Group. This role leads complex, cross-functional programs spanning ML research, platform engineering, infrastructure, safety, and product, partnering with senior leaders to drive strategy into actionable roadmaps and milestones.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in technical program management, deep ML/AI systems expertise, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in technical program management, engineering, or related roles.
• Deep technical understanding of ML/AI systems (training and post-training, evaluation, model serving, GPU capacity).
• Experience with LLM/multimodal model adoption and evaluating frameworks is a plus.
• Proven ability to partner with VP/Director-level leaders in Product and Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-workstream programs across ML research, platform engineering, infrastructure, safety/compliance, and product.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to translate strategy into roadmaps, staffing, milestones, and decisions.
• Drive research-to-production path: model development, evaluation, release, serving capacity, adoption by product teams.
• Define and track metrics and guardrails for quality, cost, reliability, adoption, and cycle time.
