Job summary

Collaborative CBT is a growing private practice in New York offering evidence-based CBT for teens, young adults, adults, and couples. We are seeking a Staff Therapist with LMSW licensure to join our collaborative team, providing individual and group therapy while engaging in supervision and ongoing education.

The role emphasizes learning CBT, working in a supportive group setting, and contributing to the practice's growth.

Qualifications

• LMSW licensure to practice in NY is required.
• Licensed to practice as a therapist in NY; other states are beneficial but not required.
• Basic understanding of CBT principles with desire for more learning.
• Commit to a minimum of 3 years with Collaborative CBT.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Availability to see clients on at least 1 weekend day, early mornings and evenings.
• At least 1 year of experience in assessment, treatment planning, and providing psychotherapy.
• Must demonstrate basic understanding of CBT and how to implement it in session; organized and able to submit progress notes and respond to emails timely.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based CBT techniques.
• Conduct assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for clients with diverse needs.
• Participate in group consultations and seek learning opportunities that benefit clients' clinical needs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
• Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to practice growth.
• Case management and care coordination, including liaison with referral sources.
