Sandisk in Milpitas, CA is seeking a senior memory test engineer to advance device characterization and test methodologies for NAND, DRAM, and emerging memory technologies.

You will lead collaborations across design, test, and manufacturing, mentor peers, optimize automated test flows with Advantest and Teradyne equipment, and drive data-driven improvements in production.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in memory, storage, or system-level product, test, or validation engineering.
• Experience using Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems such as Advantest and Teradyne.
• Proficiency in Python, C/C++, and Unix/Linux for automation and analysis.
• Ability to scale characterization methods into production flows.
• Creative problem-solving and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of high-speed interface protocols (NAND, DDR, GDDR, HBM).
• Knowledge in serial testing like SCAN, JTAG or other serial protocols.
• Background in data analytics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Evaluate advanced semiconductor devices through testing, measurement, and data analysis.
• Collaborate across teams to link device physics and develop test methodologies and algorithms for wafer test and characterization.
• Conduct experiments, analyze device data, investigate root-causes, and present findings.
• Mentor peers, lead technical reviews, and serve as a subject-matter expert.

What You’ll Bring / Technical Expertise

• Great foundation in semiconductor physics and electrical characterization.
• Deep understanding of NAND, DRAM, and emerging memory test methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment and parametric systems (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, wafer probers, parametric ATE, and bench systems).

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in memory, storage, or system-level product, test, or validation engineering.
• Experience using Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems such as Advantest and Teradyne.
• Proficiency in Python, C/C++, and Unix/Linux, for automation and analysis.
• Proven ability to scale characterization methods into production flows.
• Creative problem-solving and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Solid knowledge of high-speed interface protocols, like:
• NAND (Toggle/ONFI)
• DDR3-DDR5, LPDDR3-LPDDR5
• GDDR3-GDDR6, HBM2/3/3E/4
• Knowledge in serial testing like SCAN, JTAG or other serial protocols.
• Background in data analytics.
