Job summary

Archer is seeking a Staff Survivability/Operations Analysis Engineer to join the Defense and Advanced Programs team. You will work on survivability technologies and mission systems, performing design, analysis, fabrication, and test across multidisciplinary teams.

Required is 6–10 years in aerospace or related field with a BS in engineering/CS/physics/math (MS/PhD preferred). DoD clearance and US citizenship are a must.

Qualifications

  • 6–10 years in aerospace or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS, physics, or math; MS/PhD preferred.
  • Experience with survivability tech (RCS, IR, acoustics) and mission systems.
  • Experience with operations analysis and multiple modeling environments.
  • Ability to lead across engineering, manufacturing and business disciplines.
  • US citizenship and ability to obtain DoD security clearance.

Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. What you’ll do:
  • Candidates will be a member of the Archer Defense and AdvancedPrograms organization and will be part of the team to incubate, market,capture, and execute (technical, cost, and schedule) advanced programsapplied to our Archer Defense portfolio.
What you need:
  • 6-10 years’ experience in the aerospace or related field
  • Candidates will possess as a minimum BS engineering, computer science, physics, or math degree, MS or PhD desired
  • Experience with design, analysis, fabrication, and test of survivability technologies (RCS, IR, Acoustics); ASE, and mission systems
  • Operations Analysis to include numerous modeling and simulation environments such as AFSIM and knowledge of domestic and international threat systems is a must
  • Candidates should have experience leading and working across all engineering, manufacturing, and business disciplines
  • Candidates must be US citizens and possess or can obtain a DoD security clearance.
  • Knowledge of RF, EW/EA, EOIR, acoustic, mission systems, sensors, communications, dynamic and propulsion (electric, hybrid, and gas turbine) systems, CAD, python, MATLAB
Bonus Qualifications:
  • Model Based Systems Engineering, SysML, DoDAF
