About the job Staff Structural Nuclear Engineer
The Opportunity

This role functions as a technical specialist or project lead. Operating with minimal supervision, the individual applies advanced engineering techniques and analytical skills to complex problems. The position involves developing innovative concepts, mentoring junior team members, and potentially supervising engineering staff on projects of low to medium complexity. Responsibilities may include creating, validating, and delivering technical outputs with a high standard of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and apply knowledge of design standards, procedures, engineering codes, and quality systems, while mentoring others on compliance and best practices.
  • Independently perform complex engineering analyses and designs, ensuring adherence to project quality and standards.
  • Prepare advanced engineering deliverables, perform intricate research, and develop recommendations for material and equipment selection.
  • Lead or coordinate project activities, delegate tasks effectively, and review the work of junior engineers.
  • Oversee budgets, schedules, and quality requirements for assigned projects.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to align project objectives with client goals.
  • Provide support for business development efforts and contribute to proposal and client engagement activities.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, offering consultation on complex engineering challenges and fostering knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced professionals, contribute to career development discussions, and assist in succession planning.
  • Support resource management strategies for small teams or single-discipline groups.
  • Handle select administrative duties such as ensuring compliance with policies, approving timesheets, and maintaining documentation accuracy.
Management Responsibilities

  • Active professional engineering registration or licensure to support Engineer of Record (EOR) responsibilities as required.
