Job summary

Temporal Technologies is seeking a Staff Solutions Architect to lead the technical relationship with customers in the Western region, from San Francisco to Denver, guiding evaluation of Temporal’s platform for production workloads and articulating cloud service advantages to engineering teams.

In this role you’ll collaborate with prospects and customers, educate on architectural patterns, and help Sales shape account plans while mentoring deployment strategies for successful production adoption

Qualifications

• Reside within the Western Time Zone - San Francisco and Denver Preferred.
• Exceptional technical communication skills, including presenting, whiteboarding, and writing.
• Deep understanding of distributed system technologies, design principles, and best practices.
• Proficiency in building application prototypes and providing design, development, build, and deployment guidance using one or more of Temporal’s supported languages: Java, Golang, TypeScript, Python, C# or PHP.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider and familiarity with commonly used application development and production services.

Role Summary

The Staff Solutions Architect is Temporal's primary customer-facing technical leader within the Growth team, with a focus on the Western region. In this crucial role, you’ll work directly with prospects and customers, guiding them in understanding the suitability of their applications for Temporal’s platform and showcasing the technical advantages of our cloud service. Your contribution is vital in positioning Temporal against alternative technologies, helping customer engineering teams expand production applications using Temporal, and owning the technical relationship with key decision-makers. Your role is integral to our success.

• Serve as a strategic technical advisor to Sales Account Executives, assisting with scoping and sizing opportunities and offering guidance on technical fit and challenges.
