As a part of the Pixel Core Memory team, you will drive end-to-end memory and storage innovation across Pixel software. You will own the entire storage stack and DDR bring-up, including filesystems, I/O schedulers, block and SCSI layers, UFS core drivers, and DRAM SoC drivers.
In this role, you will contribute to the upstream Linux block and storage stack, optimizing I/O performance, latency, and reliability for Pixel devices. Additionally, this role will lead to the software architecture and design of next-generation UFS and UFSHCI driver subsystems, also represent Google in JEDEC standardization efforts for emerging UFS and UFSHCI specifications.
The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first-party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $207000 - $300000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits
