Job summary

ARKA Group L.P. in Aurora, CO is seeking a senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions. You will contribute across the full SDLC, work with Java, C#, or Python, and collaborate with product managers and engineers to ship new features in an agile environment.

Office-based role with flexible scheduling opportunities and relocation support. Candidates should have cloud, API, and microservices experience, and hold an active Secret U.S. government clearance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • 5+ years of Java, C#, or Python experience.
  • Willingness to work in an office 3+ days a week with growth to 5 days when required.
  • Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot or Quarkus.
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineers to ship features.
  • Understand SDLC including requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Write clean, efficient, well-documented, testable code.
  • Experience in unit, integration, and system tests; microservices and RESTful APIs.
  • Active Secret U.S Government Security Clearance.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities:
  • Managing the complete software development process from conception to deployment

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • At least 5 years of Java, C#, or Python
  • Ability to work in a modern software development office 3+ days a week with growth to 5 days a week in office when required
  • Experience with the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality, scalable, and secure software applications using Java and modern frameworks such as Spring Boot or Quarkus
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, architects, and other engineers to define, design, and ship new features
  • Understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance
  • Ability to write clean, efficient, well-documented, and testable code
  • Experience in the development of unit, integration, and system tests to ensure software qualityExperiencing in the development of microservices and RESTful APIs
  • Knowledge of how to work in an Agile/Scrum development environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews
  • Active Secret U.S Government Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with a modern cloud provider such as AWS or Azure as well as understanding of standalone Kubernetes deployments
  • Experience with Source Control tools (e.g. Git, Gitlab)
  • Experience with DevSecOps and Agile Scrum software development methodology including using tools like Git, Jira and Confluence

Pay Range: $130,000 - $185,000

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
