Job summary

Addepar, a global data and AI platform for investment professionals, seeks a Staff Software Engineer for the Reference Data Team in the US. You will architect complex systems, lead critical data pipelines, and collaborate with product and engineering peers to deliver scalable solutions.

You’ll work with PySpark, Python, AWS, Terraform, Java, Kubernetes, and microservices to move from prototypes to production, driving accuracy and performance in market and security data integration.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in CS or equivalent practical experience
• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices and messaging queues
• Ability to own complex projects involving partners across multiple teams
• Proven ability to mentor other engineers
• Proficiency in PySpark, Python or Java, SQL/NoSQL, OLAP or data lake
• Knowledge of financial concepts is helpful but not required
• Interest in FinTech and investment management

Responsibilities

• Drive the technical direction for complex solutions in alignment with product partners
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable data solutions
• Build frameworks for high-performance ingestion and distribution of financial data
• Develop AI-native products, from prototype to production services
• Evaluate and drive strategic business and technology decisions
• Be a technical thought leader and share best practices
