Job summary

We are seeking a senior security engineering leader to set the technical direction for product security across multiple engineering teams and influence architecture decisions early in the development lifecycle.

You will design security-critical services and controls, lead threat modeling and security design reviews, and mentor engineers while partnering with product leaders to embed secure-by-design principles.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering with a strong product/security focus.
• Extensive experience designing secure, large-scale distributed systems.
• Proven track record influencing cross-team technical decisions.
• Hands-on threat modeling, secure design reviews, and vulnerability remediation.
• Proficiency in Java, Go, Rust, C++, or Python.
• Ability to frame ambiguous security problems and drive alignment.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience securing cloud-native or multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
• Familiarity with cryptography, IAM, and data security at scale.
• Experience applying AI/GenAI to security analysis or automation.
• Contributions to open-source security projects or published research.
• Experience with detection, incident response, or offensive security teams.
• Willingness to relocate to a designated Snowflake office or reside within commuting distance.
• Current authorization to work in the country.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with significant product or application security focus

• Strong track record driving cross-team technical decisions and influencing engineering direction
• Hands-on experience with threat modeling, secure design review, and remediation of complex vulnerability classes
• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages, such as Java, Go, Rust, C++, or Python
• Ability to frame ambiguous security problems, structure analysis, and drive stakeholder alignment
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience securing cloud-native or multi-tenant SaaS platforms
• Familiarity with cryptography, identity and access management, or data security at scale
• Experience applying AI or GenAI workflows to security analysis, detection, or automation
• Contributions to open-source security projects or published security research
• Experience partnering with detection, incident response, or offensive security teams
• Ability to reside within commuting distance or relocate to a designated local Snowflake office
• Current authorization to work in the country to which the applicant is applying
