Job summary

Peregrine Technologies in New York or San Francisco seeks a Staff Software Engineer, Networking to design and build software-defined networking capabilities that enable secure, scalable communication across Peregrine's platform.

You will work across cloud and Kubernetes networking, service-to-service communication, routing, and observability—building the control planes, services, and automation that make networking reliable and operable at scale.

Qualifications

• 9+ years in software, infra, or network engineering building scale systems.
• Strong programming skills in Python/Go and production services.
• Deep networking knowledge: TCP/IP, routing, DNS, NAT, VPNs.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable network connectivity across customer, cloud, and Kubernetes environments.
• Extend APIs and services to improve reliability and self-service.
• Drive architectural direction and networking standards across teams.
• Lead debugging of complex connectivity and traffic issues across boundaries.
