Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science or related field.
  • 8 years of software development experience.
  • 5 years of testing and launching software products experience.
  • 5 years building and developing infrastructure, distributed systems, or related compute/storage hardware.
  • 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
  • Experience with coding in C++.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, architecture, and development of scalable and robust infrastructure for modeling Google's next-generation server platforms.
  • Collaborate with Team Leads, PMs, XFN teams, and executives to identify missing modeling, security, rollout, and reliability capabilities.
  • Address ambiguous and complex technical challenges in representing and utilizing hardware models from concept to production.
  • Drive the long-term technical vision and strategy for the UHM-M ecosystem, ensuring well-designed, maintainable components.
  • Design and implement mechanisms to ensure integrity, trust, and security of the model data lifecycle, including notarization and verification.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, a technical related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role with leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
  • Experience in data modeling.

US: $207000 - $300000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, architecture, and development of scalable and robust infrastructure for modeling Google's next-generation server platforms.
  • Work with other Team Leads (TLs) (L5-8), Product Managers (PMs), Cross-Functional (XFN) teams, and executives to identify missing modeling, security, rollout, and reliability related capabilities.
  • Address ambiguous and complex technical challenges in representing and utilizing hardware models, from early NPI concept through to production.
  • Drive the long-term technical vision and strategy for the UHM-M ecosystem, ensuring components are well-designed, maintainable, and meet evolving needs.
  • Design and implement mechanisms to ensure the integrity, trustworthiness, and security of the model data life cycle, contributing to efforts like model notarization and verification as outlined in plans like go/uhm-m-tca-plan.
