Job summary

Airbnb’s iOS Platform team seeks an experienced software developer to drive AI-assisted developer tooling and optimize workflows for Go, Ruby, and Swift-based projects. You will collaborate across disciplines to improve productivity, scale tooling, and guide large-scale migrations.

The role emphasizes hands-on building, improving code pipelines, and supporting ambitious AI-driven enhancements while enabling mobility to SF for quarterly gatherings.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of industry experience in software development.
• Experience building reliable developer tooling in Go.
• Experience with Ruby and maintaining or improving existing tooling.
• Experience leveraging Agentic AI to improve software development workflows and drive large scale migrations.
• Experience identifying and addressing inefficiencies in AI agent workflows to improve execution time, token efficiency, reliability, and quality.
• Experience working in medium- to large-scale codebases.
• iOS development experience in Swift, including building applications, libraries, and frameworks.
• Nice to have experience designing and developing build systems (e.g. Bazel).
• Ability to travel to the San Francisco office for about a week each quarter for gatherings.

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
