Tinder is seeking an experienced iOS engineer to lead architecture and build consumer-facing features for the Tinder app. You will shape the product by partnering with product and design teams to drive roadmap discussions and deliver scalable in-app experiences for a global audience.

You will mentor teammates, own critical code paths, and contribute to frameworks that power a high-scale product. This hybrid role requires in-office collaboration in NYC three days a week.

Formación

• 8+ years of professional experience developing native iOS applications.
• Extensive experience building applications using Swift.
• Strong software design skills (e.g., MVVM/VIPER) and dependency injection.
• Clear communication style within a collaborative team.

The Team

We are building a new, focused team within Tinder that feels a lot like a startup—nimble, efficient, and centered on building innovative features for the next generation of users. This role comes with a lot of ownership and visibility, as you'd be the founding Android engineer on the team and shape how we build the product, define architecture, and work closely with teams across the company to bring new ideas to life. You should be product- and user-oriented, and comfortable with autonomy and ambiguity.

Where You'll Work

This is a hybrid role and requires in-office collaboration three times per week. This role is based out of our New York, NY office.

In This Role, You Will

You'll Need

• 8+ years of professional experience developing native iOS applications
• Extensive experience building applications using Swift
• Strong software design skills, including a deep understanding of design patterns (e.g., Clean / MVVM / VIPER, and the benefits of each) and dependency injection
• Understanding of design guidelines (i.e. you know how to be a good iOS citizen while maintaining a strong unique brand identity)
• Clear communication style within a collaborative team environment
• The ability to combine good judgment, empathy, and technical skills
