Job summary

Anthropic is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect in the US to lead the technical strategy and roadmap for developer productivity within the Infrastructure organization. You will define architecture, design scalable systems, and collaborate across research and production teams to enable reliable, high-volume workloads.

Strong candidates will excel with Python, Rust, and/or Go, CI/CD pipelines, and large monorepo environments, while improving developer workflows and tooling.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
• Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
• Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
• Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
• Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas, but visa offers are determined case by case and we assist with immigration.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy and roadmap for your area.
• Define infrastructure architecture and solve the hardest problems.
• Design and build scalable distributed infrastructure and shared libraries for high-volume workloads across engineering teams.
• Own and evolve build environments, package management, and dependencies to enable fast, reproducible builds.
• Define language ecosystem standards, tooling, and frameworks that drive developer productivity across research and production workloads.
