Job summary

Databricks is seeking a senior security engineering leader to define the vision and strategy for Security Engineering within Trust & Safety and to protect customer data across the platform.

The role requires 7+ years in data security and 10+ years building large-scale distributed systems, with strong leadership and communication to influence senior leaders. This position is based in the United States and involves cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Data Security or related areas with expertise in two or more of the following–Cryptography, Kubernetes Security, Web Security, Governance, Privacy, Trust, Safety, Authentication, Identity Management, Access Control, Key Management, Inter-Service Authentication, Secure Application Frameworks, Detection & Response.
• 10+ years of experience building large scale distributed systems with high availability.
• Leadership skills and experience to lead across functional and organizational lines.
• Strong communication skills to explain and evangelize Data Security to senior leaders across the company.
• MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related fields.
