Job summary

Google Sunnyvale, CA invites a Staff Software Engineer to advance the Agentic Data and Evals initiative within the AI Data Generation team. You will own outcomes, tackle ambiguous problems, and influence stakeholders while shaping architecture across full-stack systems.

The role requires balancing software design, development, testing, and deployment at scale, with opportunities to lead technically and collaborate with Data Science, Product, UX/UXR, and Operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development, design, and architecture.
• 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
• 5 years of experience with full stack development across back-end and front-end tech.
• 3 years of experience in cross-functional or cross-business projects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and launch tools/solutions to collect, verify and deliver data/evaluations for GenAI use cases; evaluate and improve models.
• Learn novel GenAI use cases to understand data needs and identify solutions.
• Work cross-functionally with Data Science, Product, UX/UXR and Operations teams.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale software solutions.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
