About the role

Anthropic’s Product Engineering org seeks experienced full‑stack engineers with strong fundamentals to join one of our product teams. You will be a technical leader focused on consumer and enterprise user experience across Claude.ai, the Anthropic API, enterprise deployments, Claude Code, and mission‑driven applications. You will partner with managers, product, design, and research to understand new model capabilities and redefine what is possible for LLM users. You will own technical quality across the stack, scale efforts to millions of users, and bring excitement for what AI can enable.

What you’ll do

Developer Experience: Build products and tools—console, SDKs, docs, and observability—that give developers confidence to rely on Claude. Work with Platform teams to turn new capabilities into end‑to‑end experiences developers can pick up from first prompt to production agent.

Beneficial Deployments: Engineer access programs, tooling, and product work that makes frontier AI usable for nonprofits, schools, healthcare, researchers, and mobility programs.

Vertical AI Products: Create purpose‑built experiences for specific industries.

• Financial Services – integrated experiences for analysts and bankers that hold up to executive review.
• Life Sciences – agentic research platform for computational biology, literature review, and regulatory review.
• Healthcare – tools for payer workflows, claims, prior authorization, and clinical applications requiring compliance and accuracy.

Enterprise AI Products: Build the core platform that lets Claude operate effectively across enterprise workflows. Focus on extensibility, context, and proactivity to improve adoption.

Public Sector: Deliver Claude to federal and state governments in FedRAMP and classified environments.

Enterprise Foundations: Build identity, permissions, security, compliance, and admin analytics that enable large‑scale enterprise adoption.

Growth: Drive acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetization with data‑driven strategies and technical implementations.

Marketplace: Build platform that connects Claude‑powered enterprise tools through partnerships, onboarding, and transaction flows.

Passport: Build identity and verification layer to enable safe model launches and compliance across all Anthropic surfaces.

You might be a good fit if you:

• Have at least 8 years of full‑stack engineering experience, with 2+ years at a Staff or equivalent technical leadership level.
• Have led design and delivery of complex consumer or B2B products across the stack.
• Are a technical expert in modern frontend and backend development, notably React and TypeScript.
• Take a product‑focused approach to building robust, scalable, and easy‑to‑use solutions.
• Have worked in early startup or fast‑moving environments and built products from 0 to 1.
