Job summary

Hinge Health is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Device Software team in California. This individual contributor role centers on software systems behind connected medical devices, with a focus on Python and Next.js.

You will lead the design and delivery of backend software systems, working closely with engineering, product, and clinical stakeholders throughout the development process. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of software engineering experience and a passion for building reliable, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production systems.
• Strong experience building modern web applications with Next.js and TypeScript.
• Experience debugging complex production issues and improving reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of backend-heavy software systems that power connected device experiences.
