Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including building scalable backend systems or internal developer platforms.
• Proficiency in Python and strong backend development fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems (Builtekite, Github Actions).
• Hands-on experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code (Pulumi, Terraform).
• Track record of high-quality, well-tested code following software development best practices.
• Proven technical leadership across the project lifecycle from ideation to productionisation.
• Experience mentoring engineers and guiding architectural decisions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and drive to improve developer experience.
• Excellent collaboration and communication across teams.
• Experience integrating AI agents into a developer ecosystem is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and scale a world-class developer platform to accelerate Harvey's hyper growth and improve velocity.
• Build load testing and benchmarking infrastructure for AI-native apps.
• Pioneer the future of software development by integrating AI agents across the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Backend Platform teams to embed testability, reliability, and observability.
• Work with engineering teams to promote best practices and a reliable paved road for developers.
• Set strategic direction and roadmap for scaling developer experience as Harvey grows.
• Provide strong technical leadership and mentorship across the team.
