PSI Quantum in Palo Alto is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Calibration & Control to develop and maintain software systems for quantum computing. This pivotal role involves the design of algorithms and controls for our quantum processors, which must operate continuously.
The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience with Python or C++ and a solid background in large-scale distributed systems, specifically graph databases. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
Flexible compensation based on experience, with U.S. base pay ranging from $180,000 to $205,000, and $200,000 to $220,000 for Bay Area roles.
The OS Core Team at PsiQuantum works closely alongside engineers and scientists in the electronics, system architecture, and validation teams and is responsible for building the scalable, distributed, fault‑tolerant control plane and operating system for utility scale photonic quantum computers. Your role as a Senior Software Engineer, Calibration & Control is to design and implement algorithms, controls, and software that keep our quantum processors in spec 24/7x365.
The core of our system revolves around a high performance, scalable graph database which contains critical information to control and manage PsiQuantum computing systems. Your role is to scale and extend the current core database systems to support the massive increase in size and complexity of our systems.
