Thomson Reuters is seeking a Staff Software Engineer experienced in C# to lead advanced cloud AI services. The role focuses on designing, developing, and delivering scalable enterprise AI solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Responsibilities
  • Leverage expert-level C# programming skills to design, develop, and implement highly scalable, resilient, and secure AI services, including foundational components for Agentic AI, LLM orchestration, and intelligent automation.
  • Lead the technical integration and utilization of advanced cloud AI services such as Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, and GCP Vertex AI to deliver cutting‑edge solutions to Thomson Reuters product teams.
  • Build cloud‑based solutions in AWS, Azure, and GCP to support the delivery of AI technology to teams and products.
  • Develop robust API layers using Azure API Management and Google Cloud APIGEE to expose AI capabilities securely and efficiently.
  • Provide hands‑on technical leadership and mentorship to a team of Enterprise AI Services engineers, fostering best practices in software development, C# coding standards, and platform reliability.

  • Proactively research, evaluate, and prototype new AI, Generative AI, and Agentic AI architectures, assessing their maturity and strategic alignment with business and technology goals to inform the platform roadmap.
  • Champion and embed security‑by‑design principles into all AI platform components and services, collaborating closely with the information security team to implement robust enterprise‑grade security features, addressing unique AI security concerns such as prompt injection and data poisoning.
  • Prepare and present high‑quality technical and non‑technical documentation, effectively communicating complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate technical and operational risks associated with deploying and scaling AI systems.
Qualifications

  • Strong passion for technology and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Self‑motivation and self‑direction, ability to translate technical direction into specific work responsibilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Ability to investigate complex issues spanning multiple technologies.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong technical aptitude and analytical skills.
