Job summary

Thyme Care is building a zero-to-one AI-driven platform to support cancer care decisions and outcomes. As a Staff Software Engineer on the New Initiatives team, you will prototype and ship end-to-end features, collaborate with clinical, operations, and product leaders, and scale a category-defining platform.

You will work across web apps, APIs, data integrations, and cloud infrastructure, focusing on accuracy, auditability, and trust in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Experience building full-stack software products from idea to production
• Led early-stage product development in ambiguous problem spaces
• Built front-end experiences with modern JS frameworks and robust back-end services
• Designed APIs and data models with relational databases and cloud deployments
• Shaped production-ready AI features and guardrails for high-stakes use cases
• Proven ability to balance speed, reliability, and security in a regulated context
• Experience shipping LLM-powered features and production AI tooling

Responsibilities

• Lead a major initiative from discovery to production launch and ongoing delivery
• Translate care-decision workflows into reliable logic for our systems
• Own architecture and hands-on development across web interfaces, APIs, data models, and cloud infra
• Build polished front-end experiences with Vue.js and TypeScript and robust back-end services with Python, FastAPI, and Postgres on AWS
• Design and productionalize LLM-powered capabilities for high-stakes care decisions
• Develop evaluation, prompting, and guardrail patterns for accurate, auditable automated decisions
• Use AI-enabled tools to accelerate idea-to-prototype cycles and mature valuable prototypes into durable products
• Move quickly in exploration while ensuring security, privacy, reliability, and governance
