Anthropic is seeking a software engineer for the Access Programs team to build identity verification, vetting, and access management infrastructure that underpins trusted access to frontier AI capabilities while ensuring safeguards. The role spans designing authentication and authorization systems, monitoring for misuse, and providing enforcement tools.

Qualifications

Experience building and operating backend systems in production.
Strong coding skills in at least one general-purpose programming language and experience with AI coding tools.
Clear communication and ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Care about the societal impacts of AI and safety.

Responsibilities

Build identity verification and vetting systems (KYC/KYB) establishing who customers are.
Design access control to grant, scope, and revoke access to advanced capabilities.
Develop monitoring to detect misuse and enforcement tooling for trusted access.
Collaborate with policy, enforcement, product, research, and go-to-market teams.
Identify account compromise and apply mitigations in real time.
