Job summary

Deciml, a global financial technology firm, seeks a Staff Software Engineer to extend its blockchain infrastructure and enable tokenization across blockchain and traditional banking protocols. You will own scalable microservices and secure APIs, collaborating with product and engineering to shape design, testing, and quality standards.

The role requires 7+ years in OO languages (Go/Java), a CS degree, and leadership of teams of 4+.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Extend in-house blockchain systems infrastructure to support tokenization of the world; analyze requirements and improve existing systems.
• Build and own scalable microservices for reliable and secure APIs transferring value across blockchain and traditional banking protocols.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to design, test and document system design procedures, testing procedures, and quality standards.
• Write infrastructure to deliver great payment experiences, including data sources (SQL/NoSQL), messaging, and APIs.
• Troubleshoot program and system malfunctions to restore normal functioning.
• Build publicly accessible APIs to simplify developer integration with complex payment systems.
• Integrate Platform Services with leading banks and financial technologies; ensure agreement on system principles.

The Opportunity and Responsibilities

The Staff Software Engineer is responsible for extending their in-house blockchain systemsinfrastructure to support the tokenization of the world; analyzing requirements, procedures, andproblems to improve existing systems and modifying systems; building and owning scalablemicroservices that are responsible for reliable and secure APIs that transfer value and assetsacross all blockchain protocols as well as traditional banking protocols; collaborating withProduct and Engineering teams to design, test, and shapetheir features, including developingand documenting system design procedures, testing procedures, and quality standards;

troubleshooting program and system malfunctions to restore normal functioning; buildingpublicly accessible APIs that make it simple for developers to integrate with complex paymentsystems; integrating Platform Services with leading banks and financial technologies; consultingwith management to ensure agreement on system principles; writing the infrastructure to delivergreat payment experiences, including data sources (SQL or NoSQL), messaging systems andAPIs; other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements

A. 7 years minimum professional software development experience in object oriented languageslike Go or Java.

Deep understanding/experience with:

• Architecture, design, and deployment of production-quality, scalable software
• Web3, blockchain, smart Contract business logic
• RESTful API design and development principles
• Cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, etc)
• Container orchestration systems like Kubernetes or EKS, ECS
• SQL databases and designing schemas

F. Deep focus on coding standards and code quality, a desire to have great test coverage toenable continuous delivery.

G. Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate with remote teams, share ideas andpresent concepts effectively
