Job summary

Plaid is seeking a Security Engineer to strengthen security across Plaid’s infrastructure and data access. You will help build and secure systems that power authentication, key management, and authorization. This role focuses on protecting sensitive consumer data while supporting rapid product development.

You will lead strategic planning, own core security services, and collaborate with product teams to ensure security standards are met. Equity and a strong benefits package accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Experience building scalable systems and services.
• Experience architecting software systems to meet security, privacy, usability, scalability and cost requirements.
• Some type of leadership experience like TL

Responsibilities

• Develop security capabilities to secure Plaid infrastructure and data access.
• Lead team’s strategic planning with the manager and other senior engineers.
• Own, maintain, and build Plaid’s security infrastructure and services (IAM Gateway, Key Management System and Network Firewall).
• Consult with product engineers to ensure Plaid services meet security standards.
• Help educate and support other engineering teams to improve security in their own products and services.
• Assist with Plaid’s incident response and security awareness programs.
