LinkedIn is hiring a Staff Security Engineer for Production & Enterprise Security in Mountain View. The role focuses on strengthening the security posture of core products and cloud infrastructure, leading threat modeling, and building scalable tooling to detect and mitigate vulnerabilities across development workflows.

You will drive secure software development lifecycle controls, design secure-by-default frameworks, and partner with various teams to embed secure patterns in production

Qualifications

• BA/BS in CS, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of web/app security, cloud security risks, or SSDLC practices.
• 5+ years in security engineering with deep knowledge of application security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, or supply chain security.
• 5+ years with threat modeling, design reviews, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments.
• Experience with Java, GoLang or Python.
• Experience building tooling to detect and mitigate security vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive SSDLC and shift-left security across engineering platforms, including SAST/DAST scanning and CI/CD guardrails.
• Architect and build secure-by-default frameworks and developer guardrails for cloud infrastructure and microservices.
• Build automation and security tooling to detect, reproduce, and mitigate vulnerabilities at scale; collaborate on security logging and incident playbooks.
• Lead threat modeling, architecture reviews, and risk assessments for complex systems; embed secure design patterns in tooling.
• Define security standards, reference architectures, and policies across product development, API design, and data storage.
