Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Staff Security Architect in San Diego to shape secure enterprise, cloud, platform, and AI-enabled systems. You will lead security architecture decisions, collaborate with engineering and security teams, and guide secure adoption of emerging technologies, including generative AI and agentic workflows.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in security architecture or related roles, with senior/staff-level leadership.
• Deep knowledge of security architecture across cloud, application, network, identity, and infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience designing or securing cloud-based and containerized environments (AWS/Google Cloud).
• Strong understanding of IAM, PKI, OAuth/OIDC, SAML, TLS, VPNs, secrets management, and cloud KMS/HSMs.
• Expertise in network and application security controls (WAFs, NGFWs, DDoS mitigation, segmentation, proxies, IDS/IPS).
• Experience with secure software development, threat modeling, CI/CD, and security across the software lifecycle.
• Experience evaluating security risks in AI/ML, including generative AI, LLMs, and agentic systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, review, and approve security architecture across enterprise, cloud, SaaS, and platform environments.
• Lead cloud security architecture across AWS, Google Cloud, and hybrid environments with IAM, data protection, logging, and key management.
• Define security architecture for SaaS/PaaS platforms including identity federation and API security.
• Drive security through the software delivery lifecycle from source control to deployment automation.
• Lead security architecture for AI-enabled systems, including generative AI and AI agents.
• Design mitigations for prompt injection, data leakage, and model/ supply-chain risks.
• Define security requirements for AI data, models, prompts, embeddings, and tool integrations.
• Architect identity, authentication, authorization, and production security controls across complex environments.
• Identify gaps and translate findings into practical architecture improvements and hardening standards.
• Provide technical leadership and communicate risks to engineering and business stakeholders.
