Job summary

Veeam Software in San Jose, CA, is hiring a Staff Software Development Engineer in Test to lead testing of data connectors and high-scale ingestion pipelines across AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes.

You will design scalable testing frameworks, automate fault-injection, and validate multi-source data flows under extreme concurrency. Ideal candidates have 8+ years in SDET/SE, with strong scripting in C++, Java, Go, or Python and cloud/Kubernetes experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of SDET/SE experience in at least one modern language (C++, Java, Go, or Python).
• Experience testing streaming architectures (Kafka, Event Hubs) and APIs (gRPC/REST).
• Proficiency with AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes environments.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable performance, backpressure, and stress testing for ingestion connectors.
• Build automation across AWS and Azure to test real-world data flows under degraded networks and high concurrency.
• Implement automated fault-injection to ensure zero-data-loss execution while simulating failures.
• Use Kubernetes to orchestrate transient test clusters and mock endpoints at scale.
