  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record developing assay products and maintaining records.

Responsibilities

  • Lead assay development tasks to launch high-quality products for the BD Rhapsody platform, including feasibility studies, process and QC development, optimization, Verification & Validation, and tech transfer support
  • Drive the development work in collaboration with wet lab scientists, bioinformatics scientists, commercial and operational partners
  • Design and perform hands-on experiments to achieve development objectives
  • Independently analyze and interpret single-cell genomics data and present results to cross-functional teams
  • Compile analyses and develop protocols, technical notes, posters, and presentations showcasing Rhapsody platform performance
  • Provide scientific expertise to optimize current products and support the development of new product applications

Job Responsibilities

Qualifications: Required Skills
  • Doctoral degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, biomedical sciences, or a related field
  • 8+ years of research experience, including 5+ years of industry experience in a related field
  • Extensive experience with RNA‑seq and other next‑generation sequencing techniques, including library preparation, sequencing, and data analysis
  • Experience with genomic assays using FFPE (formalin‑fixed, paraffin‑embedded) samples
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop assay products, critically analyze data, and maintain excellent experimental records
Preferred Skills
  • FFPE sample handling expertise
  • Experience with assay/reagent product development
  • Experience with spatial genomics and/or proteomics
  • Experience with single‑cell multiomics assays
  • Experience generating assays for biopharma/translational market
  • Immunology background
