IonQ, Inc. is seeking a Staff Scientist specialising in quantum characterisation and benchmarking to lead the QCVV team. You will drive the development of scalable protocols, tie measurement data to error models, and influence next-generation quantum error correction architectures.

You will publish in top-tier venues, mentor researchers, and collaborate with QEC and compiler teams to shape IonQ's technical direction and benchmarks for multi-qubit processors.

Formación

• PhD in physics, quantum information, mathematics or related field.
• 7+ years of research experience in quantum characterisation or benchmarking.
• Strong publication record in quantum information science.

Responsabilidades

• Set research direction for characterising quantum processors at IonQ.
• Develop scalable QCVV protocols for multi-qubit systems.
• Design benchmarks and link measurements to error models.
• Publish results in top-tier venues and represent IonQ at conferences.
• Collaborate with QEC and compiler teams on error-correction code selection.
