Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH, is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (evenings, 3p-11:30p) for 16 hours per week with every other weekend and holiday rotation.

You will assist patients through their care episode with a Family Centered approach, document per policy, and work with LPNs, PCAs, and other staff, while maintaining safety and quality as priorities. A BSN or equivalent with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years is required.

Qualifications

  • BSN or Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Willing to obtain and maintain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other necessary certification as determined by your manager based on business unit.

Job Description Summary

Assists patients to move rapidly, uneventfully, and as effectively as possible through their episode of care while maintaining quality and safety as a priority. Delegates, directs, oversees and provides developmentally appropriate patient care. Practices professional nursing and promotes patient advocacy in accordance with the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and maintains a current Ohio Nursing License.
