Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and Georgia Nurse Practice Act guidelines. The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and GA RN licensure with active status.

The ideal candidate will hold BLS certification, and 2+ years of RN experience in preferred units; additional life support credentials (ACLS, PALS, NRP) or other certifications are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association).

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
