Job summary

Keck Medicine of USC in Arcadia is seeking a Staff RN for Medical-Surgical care in a 12-hour day shift. The position is full-time and union, non-exempt. The RN will provide evidence-based nursing care to acutely ill patients and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe outcomes.

Qualifications include an Associate degree in nursing and California RN license; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. ACLS/BLS may be required; basic computer skills are necessary for charting and orders.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing is required.
• Current RN licensure in CA is required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required when appropriate.
• One year of acute care experience preferred.

Job Description

A clinically competent, registered, professional nurse who utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care to patients. Services provided are for acutely ill patients with medical / surgical diagnoses or maternal child health, which are the primary reasons for admission. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs nursing care for patients with complex, multisystem needs. Demonstrates investment in the overall forward movement of the unit and the organization. Applies good interpersonal and communication process utilizing verbal and non-verbal skills to achieve organizational service goals of customer satisfaction and a positive work environment.
