Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients under physician orders, following established guidelines and the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, a Georgia RN license in good standing, and BLS certification; BSN degree and additional life-support credentials are preferred for career advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
• Adheres to the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Education

Graduate of accredited school of nursing

RN license in Georgia (in good standing)

BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities, License Or Certification Required

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Knowledge Skills And Abilities/License Or Certification Preferred

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
