Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in line with physician orders and established guidelines.

The RN will practice within the scope defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act, ensuring high-quality patient care on a variety of units. Georgia licensure and BLS certification are required, with BSN and additional certifications preferred for career growth.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing.
• Must hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Two years of experience as an RN preferred.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP or other clinical certifications preferred.
• Visual color acuity depending on role in specific units.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and established guidelines.
• Plan and implement individualized patient care following the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.

Education

Graduate of accredited school of nursing

Licensed RN in Georgia in good standing

BLS certification (American Heart Association)

BSN degree (preferred)

2 years RN experience (preferred)

ACLS, PALS, NRP or other clinical certifications (preferred)

Visual color acuity (depending on unit)

Qualifications — Required

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing


2. Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.


3. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

Qualifications — Preferred

1. BSN degree


2. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).


3. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.


4. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
