Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to provide high-quality patient care under physician orders and established guidelines in Georgia. The role emphasizes independent nursing actions within the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold a Georgia RN license in good standing, and possess BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Two years of RN experience preferred.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP or other unit-specific certifications preferred.
• Color acuity may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities, License Or Certification Required

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

Knowledge Skills And Abilities/License Or Certification Preferred

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
