Job summary

Northside Hospital offers an UFlex Float Pool opportunity to care for a wide variety of Acute Care patients across its legacy campuses in Atlanta, Cherokee, and Forsyth. This position requires a 1 shift per week commitment and features self-scheduling.

The Registered Professional Nurse independently plans and provides professional nursing care per physician orders and Georgia Nurse Practice Act, collaborating with the care team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing.
• Must hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in clinical practice; self-directed in goal setting and managing complex patients and families.
• Provides safe, competent patient care; follows current guidelines and communicates with peers and providers.
• Independently uses the nursing process for patients and families; integrates evidence-based resources into practice.
• Operates unit-based patient care technology and hospital information systems; develops professional competencies.
• Delivers care with appropriate delegation and serves as a preceptor for new employees and students.
• Engages in quality improvement activities for patient safety and continuity of care.
