Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide general nursing care in the Endoscopy department. The position includes on-call shifts and a 36-hour work week with day scheduling.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care along the health-illness continuum, under the Ohio Board of Nursing guidelines. Minimum qualifications include an Associate's Degree in Nursing, BLS certification, and an active Ohio RN license.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association).
• RN license must be current in Ohio and in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Assess/diagnose and document health status and needs (30%).
• Identify outcomes and plan interventions to meet patient needs (30%).
• Implement and evaluate nursing interventions and revise plan as needed (20%).
• Lead and participate in process improvement to enhance quality and safety (10%).
• Support safe, efficient operations in a High Reliability Organization (10%).
• The role may require on-call shifts and is subject to change.

Job Description Summary:

This position requires on-call shifts. This position provides general nursing care to patients and families along the health illness continuum in diverse health care settings while collaborating with the health care team. He/She is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities And Duties:

• Assessment/Diagnosis - Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and or individual (30%).
• Outcomes Identification/Planning - Based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems, documents planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs (30%).
• Implementation/Evaluation - Evaluates and documents response to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes at appropriately determined intervals; as part of a multidisciplinary team, revises plan of care based on evaluative data (20%).
• Leadership - Actively participates in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance (10%).
• Operations (10%). As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree: Nursing (Required)

Additional Job Description:

Current registered nurse license from the State of Ohio. Knowledge in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care. BLS certification Commitment to on-call shifts Must have previous and recent RN experience of at least 2 years. Critical care/ED, Pre/Post, and Endoscopy experience preferred
