Provides nursing care according to Marshall Medical Center’s (MMC’s) standard of practice while caring for the pediatric, adult, elderly, acutely ill or chronically ill patient and is qualified and prepared to handle unexpected emergencies that occur during any radiological procedure. Maintains good public relations by interacting with patients, visitors, physicians, other staff members and the nursing units in a friendly and professional manner.Administers intravenous (IV) contrast and other medications to patients undergoing diagnostic procedures at Marshall Medical Center. Acts as the physician’s assistant for all interventional procedures performed in the department and is the principle resource for patient care. Assists in the pre and post care needs of patients undergoing diagnostic procedures; maintains all pertinent documentation of patients undergoing interventional procedures and performs necessary follow-up.
