Job summary

Google DeepMind seeks a senior research scientist role focused on core modeling and post-training experience (e.g., deep learning, LLMs, reinforcement learning). This position targets candidates with strong research skills who will drive the Gemini model recipe from hypothesis to delivery.

You will design ablation studies, communicate findings, build research infra, and collaborate across teams. Competitive compensation includes US base pay, 20% bonus target, equity, and comprehensive benefits.

• Design and execute ablation studies to validate research hypotheses and accelerate experimental feedback loops.
• Communicate research findings, progress, and outcomes to the broader team through visualizations and reports.
• Develop research infrastructure and utilities for data analysis and model evaluations using standard engineering practices.
• Collaborate with other research scientists and engineers to maintain a regular feedback and communication loop.

Job description
