Job summary

Google in Mountain View is seeking a senior data scientist to drive data excellence for Large Language Models. You will be a distinct contributor focusing on human data collection and tackling complex data science problems.

You will design novel data acquisition and quality improvement techniques, use AI models to evaluate datasets, and partner with Research, Engineering, and Product teams including Cloud AI Data and DeepMind to push the boundaries of AI.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in statistics, data science, or related quantitative field.
• 8 years of analytics experience or 6 years with a PhD.

Responsibilities

• Be a distinct contributor, focusing on Human Data Collection for LLMs and address complex data science problems.
• Design and deploy novel data acquisition and quality improvement techniques for foundational models.
• Utilize AI models and tools to evaluate, synthesize, and understand complex datasets.
• Collaborate with Research, Engineering, and Product teams (Cloud AI Data and Google DeepMind).
• Develop new methodologies to improve model performance through better training data.

Responsibilities

• Be a distinct contributor, with a particular focus on Human Data Collection for Large Language Models (LLMs) and address complex data science problems.
• Design and deploy novel data acquisition and quality improvement techniques for foundational models.
• Utilize AI models and tools as integral components for evaluating, synthesizing, and understanding complex datasets.
• Act as a critical technical partner, collaborating closely with Research, Engineering, and Product teams (Cloud AI Data and Google DeepMind).
• Develop new methodologies to improve the performance of Google's models through better training data, including data collection, and insights.
