Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Staff Systems Engineer – Radar Systems in Melbourne, FL. You will own and lead a multi-disciplinary team, manage requirements and deliverables on schedule and cost, and communicate across internal/external stakeholders across modernization efforts.

Required radar systems experience, DOORS-based requirements management, and EVMS CAM skills, with DoD/SAP clearance eligibility. The role offers a 9/80 schedule and strong learning opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 14+ years of related experience or Master’s with 2+ years or PhD with 6+ years in Systems Engineering.
  • Experience developing and integrating radar systems.
  • Experience with requirements management and traceability from system to unit/supplier specs.
  • Experience with managing suppliers to meet requirements and verification expectations.
  • Experience with HW/SW integration testing.
  • Experience with Agile execution and leading Scrum teams.
  • Experience with EVMS Control Accounts (CAM).
  • Ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret or SAP clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform requirements development, allocation, verification/validation planning and manage interface definition.
  • Write complex specifications, interface control documents, and engineering reports.
  • Coordinate with program, functional and subsystem leads for interfaces.
  • Maintain Systems Engineering artifacts with configuration management.
  • Ensure proper verification/validation of Systems Engineering artifacts across IPTs and external customers.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver on-cost and on-schedule.
