Qualifications

• MD or recognized equivalent.
• Must hold a current license to practice medicine in California.
• Board Certification in Psychiatry.
• Maintains an active DEA certification.
• Knowledge of diversity including culture, sexual orientation, gender and SES.
• Experience with college-age and young adult psychiatric care.
• HIPAA/FERPA knowledge preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct outpatient psychiatric care and consultations.
• Facilitate hospitalizations when needed to ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with Student Health Center clinicians and campus staff on mental health issues.
• Advise on psychiatric diagnosis, treatment plans, and record-keeping.
