Job summary

Relativity Space is hiring a Staff Program Manager, Spaceport Integration to lead regulatory coordination and liaison with USSF, NASA, FAA, and other agencies.

You will work with internal engineering and external stakeholders on launch vehicle operations, facility development, and mission readiness, with travel approximately 25%.

This role requires 7+ years of program management in space or regulated operations and the ability to obtain necessary clearances.

About the Team:

The Launch team operates at the intersection of every major aspect of Terran R, from stages and payloads to ground systems, launch, landing, and refurbishment. About the Role:

As a Staff Program Manager, Spaceport Integration, you will represent Relativity in coordination with external regulatory, government, and operational stakeholders. You will support compliance with applicable licenses, regulations, agreements, and operating procedures associated with spaceport and launch operations, including coordination with organizations such as the U.S. Space Force (USSF), NASA, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

You will coordinate with internal engineering and operations teams and external stakeholders on activities supporting launch vehicle operations, facility development, hazardous operations, regulatory approvals, and mission readiness. This role provides exposure to a broad range of engineering and operational activities, including launch vehicle integration, launch operations, control room operations, civil infrastructure development, telemetry asset coordination, and local permitting.

• Serve as a primary point of contact for range-related operations and compliance activities, coordinating tasking between internal engineering teams and external stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation and coordinate activities required to support operational and regulatory compliance.
• Represent Relativity in meetings and coordination activities with the U.S. Space Force, NASA, state agencies, the U.S. Coast Guard, and other applicable regulatory or government organizations.
• Coordinate financial and contractual obligations between Relativity and applicable government stakeholders, including tracking funding requirements and supporting appropriate allocation of resources.
• Develop and implement processes that support design compliance, operational readiness, and reliable, high-cadence launch operations.
• Evaluate and improve organizational policies, systems, and processes, including opportunities to leverage automation and artificial intelligence.
• Participate in mission readiness activities, test article countdown operations, console operations, and emergency or contingency response activities as assigned.
• Work extended hours, weekends, or other non-standard schedules when required to support critical mission operations.
• Travel approximately 25% of the time, with travel requirements varying based on business and operational needs.

About You:

• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience supporting operator console activities in space, launch, test, or related mission operations.
• Experience supporting national security space programs or other regulated space operations.
• 7+ years of experience managing complex technical projects, programs, or operations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain any background screening or access authorization required to perform the position’s assigned duties at applicable Space Force installations.
• Ability to communicate technical, operational, contractual, and regulatory information effectively in written and verbal formats, including presenting information to internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating with the U.S. Space Force, NASA, FAA, or other government or regulatory organizations.
• Experience supporting launch range operations, spaceport operations, or launch vehicle integration.
• Experience with regulatory licensing, permitting, or operational compliance activities.
• Experience developing or implementing automated processes or tools for technical or operational workflows.

Nice to haves but not required:

• Active U.S. government security clearance.

Successful candidates must clear a background check administered by the US government to obtain clearance for on-site work at our government partner location in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

Hiring Range:

$180,500—$271,000 USD
